Als legend\u00e4re Kulisse f\u00fcr den Film &#8222;Der Strand&#8220; mit Leonardo DiCaprio, Guillaume Canet und Virginie Ledoyen aus dem Jahr 2000 ist Maya Beach unbestreitbar das Symbol f\u00fcr einen paradiesischen Strand. Nicht weit von der thail\u00e4ndischen Touristeninsel Phuket und der nicht weniger touristischen Insel Koh Phi Phi entfernt, hat Maya Beach seither leider immer wieder unter den Angriffen der Urlauber gelitten.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dies ging so weit, dass der Strand eine Zeit lang nicht mehr so sch\u00f6n aussah, da er mit Plastikm\u00fcll und Touristen \u00fcbers\u00e4t war.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maya Bay wurde 2019 auf Beschluss der thail\u00e4ndischen Regierung geschlossen und 2022 unter strengeren Regeln wiederer\u00f6ffnet.
